A few minutes with……..Steve Archibald


Steve Archibald was a striker at the forefront of Terry Venables’ Barca revolution back in the 1980’s. Signed from Tottenham Hotspur, ‘Archigol’ as he became fondly known, made an immediate impact in Catalonia, his goals in the 1984/85 season helping fire the Blaugrana towards their first La Liga title since a Johan Cruyff inspired triumph in 1974.

Marti Perarnau is a former Olympic standard high jumper for Spain, and is now a much renowned journalist, author and football analyst, with particular interest in FC Barcelona and it’s ‘La Masia’ youth set up. Marti runs the hugely successful and influential Perarnau Magazine ( http://www.martiperarnau.com ) and writes for various publications. He also authored ‘Senda de Campeones’ (Path of Champions) – From La Masia to Camp Nou.
